Okay, he's definitely gone bonkers. It's official. [ Scott murmurs under his breath, then one of his hands clings to Peter's shirt as the couple fight and she hits him unconscious with a baseball bat before locking him up in the pantry. Does the school has a pantry? Scotts pretty sure it does. Just another place to add to the list of 'never ever check it alone and at night'. ]

[ Scott is too engrossed in the movie to notice Peter's glance. The position they're in feels comforting and safe to have a solid weight to lean in and hold onto, he couldn't help it. And Peter really got a pretty solid body, Scott's considering briefly if it's because of all the training they do when the other man's question finally gets him to tear his eyes away from the tv. ]

Uh. oh, yes, right sure...[ What did he exactly agree to do, again? Scott's brain might be more distracted by the fear that he originally thought but the idea isn't all unpleasant. He gave Peter a smile when their hand touch. ] Right. No way this can ever happen. Ghost living in creepy old houses, stupid right?

[ He looks briefly at the screen, then back at Peter. ] The mansion doesn't have a hedge maze, right?

[honestly, he'd prefer it that way because it means scott isn't looking at the horrified expression on his face. at least when he does finally avert his attention, peter's brow has softened, lips still pursed in an unpleasant frown.]

Didn't even hear what I said, did ya? [which is also fine. he wouldn't mind letting that comment go right over scott's head then surprising him one day by zooming into the shower with him.] Totally. Besides, if it were true, I bet there's a mutant here that can talk to dead people or something.

[he's almost too focused on their hand-holding to notice scott looking at him again, but he has been more observant during this horror flick, no hesitation glancing over his shoulder every now and then.] Uh ... I've got no idea, dude.

Ah...heh. [ He gives Peter a sheepish smile. no, he really wasn't listening, so that does give Peter an excuse to startle him one day. ] Jesus, and I think my power is bad. I hope no one has to deal with that.

[ He sighs and leans against Peter again, this time without thinking about it or worrying. With his head resting against Peter's shoulders it might seem like they're cuddling but well...the end of the movie is close and Scott's sure it's going to be terrifying. ]

Let's hope it doesn't.

[he'll put it on his to-do list, for sure. right now, peter's content with an arm around scott's shoulders and the other hand entwined with the younger male's.] Eh, we all deal with our mutations somehow. By the time people learn about it, the mutant with the ability probably has it under control.

[still watching from the corner of his eye, he turns and props his chin on scott's head, lips quirked ever so slightly.] If it does, I'll walk alongside and make sure no creepy things get you.

I hope they do, if that's the case. [ If Scott were more honest with himself, he would realize that he's enjoying the closeness more than normal friends to. But that's probably a revelation for another time, now he hums softly when Peter rest his head on him, smiling. ]

That's a promise now.

Don't worry so much about it. [peter, on the other hand, has no trouble admitting he's enjoying the physical contact. he's always been a rather open person and this situation is no exception.]

'Course it is. I wouldn't tell you otherwise.

HM...my hero. [ He leans closer, resting against Peter more comfortable. He move is playing its most scary scenes, towards the ending, but Scott's no longer so freaked out by it. It helps to have good friends near. ]
